Join the Art League
Why Join the Art League?
There is an old adage — Practice makes perfect!
This applies especially to the striving artist. Whether the artist is a beginner
or a professional, each new effort ends in success by application of effort or
practice. By joining a league of artists one gains by observing the others
efforts and by the constructive critiques offered when you ask for it.
Non-artists gain by the association with people that enjoy life. The Art League
is composed of artists that are new to creating artwork and artists with over
forty-five years of painting. The opportunity to associate with this pool of
knowledge is open to any that join. fill out an application and mail it in with
dues and increase the joy in your life. all members will be mailed quarterly a
newsletter to keep you informed even if you are
unable to attend our activities.
Meetings
Membership meetings take place in Mountain View, Missouri usually on the
first Saturday of each month to conduct the League's business. Following the short
business meting is an art related program. A workshop for members is held usually
on the third Saturday of each month for artists to create in a congenial
atmosphere and to learn form experienced artists and teachers. Exact dates and
locations are published in the League's calendar.
Membership Fees
- Regular membership fee is $15 per year
- Additional family members may be added for $5 per person
- Student membership up to grade 12 is $5 per year
