Entry Fees

Non-Professional
$10.00 for the first thre works entered per artist, $1.00 for each additional entry, per same artist. Maximum of 5 works entered per artist.

Professional
$20.00 for the first thre works entered per artist, $2.00 for each additional entry, per same artist. Maximum of 5 works entered per artist.

Agreement

Any and all entries in this show will be understood to imply agreement on the part of the artist with the Entry Guidelines set forth by the Art League of the Ozarks (listed below).

Guidelines

All artwork must be the original creation of a living artist and not created from a kit, pattern, copywrited material, or computer generated. There is no age limit for participating artists. All two-dimensional art must be framed suitably and wired for hanging. No winning entries from prior Art League of the Ozark shows may enter. A three-person committee will prescreen all artwork for compliance with guidelines and suitability to category entered. Decision of screening committee is final.

Entry information

Artwork may be delivered to the Mountain View Community Center, at 125 East 1st Street, Mountain View, MO on Friday, September 18, 2009 from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm and Saturday, Septemer 19, 2009 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Artwork must be picked up after the show from the Southwest Baptist University on September 27, 2009 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm or by prior arrangement. All artwork will be signed out after the show.

Artwork may be submitted on Friday, March 21 and Saturday, March 22th, A completed entry form and fees are also required at time of drop off. The show is open to any artist. Students 18 or younger may enter with written permission from a parent or through a high school art teacher.

There will be a printed program, listing the name of the artist, title of the work, and the price if the piece is for sale. To help insure inclusion in the program, early entries would be appreciated.

All artwork may be sold during the show. A broker's fee of 10% will be charged for any works sold. However, the art must remain with the show until 4:00 pm, Sunday, September 27, or by prior arrangement.

Divisions and Categories

There re two divisions to enter, Professional and Non-professional. Each division has six categories, as follows:

  • Portraits and Figure Studies
  • Landscapes and Waterscapes
  • Animals
  • Floral and Still-life
  • Abstract/Experimental/Fantasy/Mythical
  • Sculpture (representational or abstract)

Open to the Public

The Seventh Annual Art Show will be held at the Southwest Baptist University during Pioneer Days.

Friday, September 25, noon to 6:00 pm
Saturday, Septemver 26, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Sunday, September 27, noon to 4:00 pm

Award Ceremony and Reception

The Awards Cermony and the Artists and Patrons Reception will be held during the show on Sunday, September 27, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The public is cordually invited.

For each category there will be a ribbon and the following cash awards:

Non-Professional
First place: $35.00
Second place: $25.00
Third place: $15.00

Professional
First place: $50.00
Second place: $40.00
Third place: $30.00
