Anita Boyers has enjoyed learning to use many media. Pastel, watercolor, and acrylic are her
favorites because of her love of color. The stolen moment that the artist renders and the emotion it
evokes is what Anita tries to put in her paintings. She loves to take photos to be used for reference
in the detailed paintings done by her family and self. Anita feels "Photos are limiting and the
artist must remember what they saw and wish to convey." People living and doing what they enjoy
makes great subject matter. Anita is known for her animal portraits. Comments of how life-like her
portraits are is common. She is known internationally for her miniatures. Her excellence with the media
and fine detail has led to many awards. Anita achieves in whatever she attempts--painting,
jewelry-making, fine crafts, and fiber arts. This fourth generation artist has done and is willing to
do commissions.
