The Art League of the Ozarks is composed of a group of artists and art
supporters in Mountain View, Missouri and the surrounding area committed to the
promotion of the fine arts. Fill out an application
today to join! We always welcome new members.
What is the Ozarks?
The Ozarks is located in the central part of the United States of America.
It is composed of the southern part of the State of Missouri and the northern part
of the State of Arkansas. It is a very picturesque countryside composed of many hills,
valleys, beautiful rivers, lakes, springs, caves, and forests. Geologically, it is the
eroded remains of the Ozarkian Plateau. Hunting and fishing are very popular
activities. Bluegrass is the favored music. The people live here because of the
breathtaking scenery and the appeal of the rural setting as opposed to the
urban life style.
Membership
Artists are favored with voting membership. Non-artists and businesses
interested in the goals of the Art League are eligible for membership and all the
benefits to be gained by association with the Art League, including planning,
particiaption and enjoyment, but without a vote. High school students through grade
12 are eligible with reduced dues. Non-artists become voters as soon as they start
art classes.
